I personally wouldn’t sleep with anyone who didn’t like Portishead. Fact. If they can’t get into ‘Dummy’, they’re unlikely to get into me – metaphorically as well as literally. Music, more importantly my heightened sense of hearing and juxtapositions with sex, mean a lot to me.

That I’ve never even heard of a single one of the bands on the playlist says something, although I’ll justify it because we are not exposed to music in our social spheres, but we have to seek out music if we want to experience it. The exiting thing is that I will give each one of the selections a try and see if any of them fit my taste. Thank you for expanding the horizons. We went to see a band recently called Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Their music has me acting like an idiot in the car as I use the steering wheel as a drum set. If I want to be transported I’ll listen to Pat Metheny, particularly a track called “To the End of the World” from the We Live Here album. It’s what I want played at my funeral. My life as a song.

The sad thing is I’m not actually into music right now.

I know that sounds bizarre, but the thing is I go through phases: sometimes I can’t work at all without listening to something, sometimes I desperately crave silence. Now is one of the latter times.

If Boinkology, as an entity, were to be into music, it would all be selections from BoinkMusic.

I love your playlist here! It’s oddly fitting that this entry reminds me of the movie “9 Songs.” A relationship on the downhill slope, sex sex sex, and intersperses of concerts in between.
